Prudence pretends to be ill, skipping classes while climbing out her window to meet boys! I'm very disappointed in her, wondering aloud how she can ever be trusted again, and quite naturally she hasn't a good answer. Once she is spanked for the first time ever, the little liar apologizes over and over, but the only thing that remains believable about Prudence are her tears.
