I've made naughty David wait until the weather is warm, for his final session in a series of punishments. Outside in my garden, he will take two hundred and forty strokes from my wide assortment of canes, and poor David must keep the count in a whisper – we don't want to alert the neighbors – which makes his shivering, body-shaking anguish all the more unbearable.
